Happy Mother's Day

We spent my first Mother's Day to two little ones in Virginia visiting the Grandparents Ross. It was not quite the trip we planned since Grandma Ross ended up in the hospital. She is doing better now, and we were glad we could be there when she was ill to make sure she got better. We still managed to fit in a little fun, and in any case it was nice to have a break from the city. Next time we visit, however, we hope for a little less excitement. The Mother's Day festivities started last Wednesday when Bridger's school hosted a tea. It was quite fancy with fine china, little sandwiches, scones, and even real tea. Bridger had his first taste of tea (well it was mostly milk with a little tea) and stated he liked it. He is pretty picky so this was surprising except that he really wants to do whatever the grown-ups are doing so maybe he said he liked just to be part of the big people crew even if he didn't. We did manage to have a nice dinner together on Saturday and yummy Mother's Day breakfast. GrandDad and Bridger made french toast topped with strawberries we had picked the day before. Bridger can't wait to tell you all about strawberry picking in a few days. We haven't had our family Mother's Day yet. With everything going on we will be celebrating in two weeks. I can't wait to see what Matt and my two cuties will do!
