This year our beach weekend included a rainy, cool Saturday that was perfect for shooting stomp rockets. I think the big boys had just as much fun as Mr. B.
Saturday evening we headed to the Boardwalk and rode the rides and played the games at Funland. Bridger was brave and rode a super fast spinning thing with Matt. Larsen was so bold and rode some rides too. She loved this fire truck ride and rode 3 times in a row.
Sunday was a gorgeous day and we went to the beach twice and spent lots of time playing in the sand. We saw a pod of dolphins in the morning and afternoon and had a lot of good chats with the adults. Meg and Nathaniel made a guest appearance this year. If we are still in the midAtlantic next summer we hope they will come again. We love Bridger of course but you might notice a few extra pictures of Larsen. After a few minutes she decided she loved the sand and the beach, and we loved seeing her chunky, spunky self having a blast. Bridger had a blast too, but he was moving too fast to get a picture or was too busy building things to let us get a good one.
Here are Brooke, Meg, and I. Can you believe we have known each other since 1996...lots of changes since then but sometimes it feels like just yesterday we met in our first year dorm!
We ended the weekend with a swim and lunch at the pool on Monday. We headed home (with much less traffic than Friday night) and I unpacked and repacked for our trip to CA the next day. Never a dull moment around here, but I am so thankful we had such a nice time at the beach since Matt could not come with us to sort of sunny CA.
