Transit of Venus!

Did you know that today is the Transit of Venus.  Venus is a planet and it is crossing the sun today.  We went to the Science Center to watch it.  I was so excited I ran across the street and into the doors.  We took an elevator up to the 4th floor and got out on the roof.

We had to put on special glasses so the sun would not hurt our eyes.  It has been cloudy today so we thought we might not be able to see it but we did.  The sun burned up all the clouds for just a little bit and we saw it perfectly.

We could also look through the stethoscope to see it too!  They also had these huge screens where you could see it from Hawaii.

I also made a bracelet out of beads that turn colors because of UV light and then turn white when they aren't in the sun.

This won't happen again until I am more than 100 years old.  I hope you saw it because it was so exciting.

Larsen didn't know what was going on but she had fun sitting on Daddy and eating the paper sun that they gave to us.

Don't forget that Jupiter is the biggest planet, but it was so fun to see the Transit of Venus!
