Dino Days (Daze?)

Happy MLK weekend! We are enjoying the extra day off and though we did do a lot of lazing around this weekend. Matt finally caught the DeCamp family plague and Larsen is still under the weather so we tried to lay low. However, by Monday we needed to get out of the house and do a few things. Bridger and I made the cookie dough for mint snowtops while Larsen was napping (well sort of napping...not much sleeping going on for that girl today!).

Bridger loved tasting the melted chocolate...wouldn't you!

It has to chill so once Larsen was up we went to the Maryland Science Center. Bridger loves the dinosaurs there but it was pretty crowded so we didn't get to dig for dinosaur bones which is usually his favorite thing. Team Kids wore their dinosaur jammies last night to commemorate the day's planned outing.

He managed to have fun despite this disappointment. Larsen just hung out in the Ergo so she didn't get new germs or bless anyone else with her virus. We came home took some naps (well I went to the gym...got to get in some sort of shape for our upcoming ski trip) and then we finished up the cookies. Bridger absolutely loved rolling the dough balls in powdered sugar. He has no shortage of pride about his work. He told me at least three times. "Mommy I am doing a great job at rolling." He also really loved the fact that then he got to have half of a cookie before dinner.

Larsen supervised our efforts while eating some MumMums. It looks like she is saying..."what you are letting Bridger eat a cookie and not me??"

This evening Larsen seemed to be feeling better and actually had an appetite for dinner. However, she didn't have an appetite for sleep. We attempted to put them to bed together, but after nearly an hour of her chatter and Bridger emerging to let us know he hit his head on his crib (note he sleeps in a bed) in the middle of the night we took her out. She was totally wired and showed off her prewalking skills in the basement before finally giving in and going to sleep nearly two hours past her bedtime. Now it is our bedtime!
