The Birthday Party!

Bridger had his birthday party two weekends ago, but it was such an event I haven't been able to recover until now.  We had both sets of grandparents in town and then Mr. B had a joint birthday party with Sophia M. from his class.  We went with a fall theme and tried to incorporate some classic games.  It was TOTAL CHAOS with lots of kids and parents, but in the end it seemed like everyone had a great time.

Potato Sack races were a big hit!!

Egg on a spoon was a little tricky but was good for a few laughs!

The balloon popping with a starburst treat inside was a lot of fun for all.  Who doesn't love balloons??

Inside we decorated pumpkins (nobody seemed to catch a photo of that), ate some snacks, and then Bridger enjoyed his Batman cake.

The next morning we did some gifts and had some family time.  If we look a little tired...it is because we are.  Even though it was quite a lot we loved celebrating Bridger!!

Happy 4th Bridger!

Our big guy turned 4 years old last Tuesday.  We had a full week of celebration.  On Tuesday Anna, Isaac, and their baby sisters came over.  We went to Dypski and had some bagels and cupcakes.  On Saturday we had a giant birthday party with all of Bridger's friends from school.  We had a joint party with Sophia from Bridger's class.  We had one million (well at least 20) kids there and lots of parents.  It was a lot of fun, but total chaos.  The parental units were exhausted and so was the birthday boy.  On Sunday we ended the 4 year old festivities with some presents with all 4 grandparents.  We had one last rendition of "Happy Birthday" with a candle in a muffin.  Whew!!  On his actual birthday we did have a chance to do another interview to see how Mr. B is changing.

18 months and Apples

Happy 18 months Larsen!
Your big accomplishments of late are loving Elmo and Choo, choos, jumping from the coffee table to the couch (I promise we supervise around here!), and in the past few days you have started saying Mommy.  I am so not ready for you to be done with your Mama days, but I think they are soon to be gone!!
Today we went apple picking.  We tried a new place this year, because the other farm is so crowded.  Mixed reviews on the new place.  We got to ride a tractor, but no cute hay area for the kids so that was a disappointment. I will miss having the hay jumping pictures of the kiddos especially since Larsen is so into launching off objects and is getting to be such a daredevil.

The kids still had a great time and we got more than enough apples!
