Camping!

Last weekend was so exciting!  We went camping.  My favorite part was everything.  We went to Tuckahoe State Park on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.  We got there and the first thing I said was "this is so much nicer than Baltimore."  My baby sister and I love to be out in nature.  We  explored the trails by our campsite, and found lots of sticks, rocks, and acorns to play with.

For dinner we made a fire and ate hot dogs and Mommy and Daddy had veggie kerbarbs on the side.  Larsen loves hot dogs, and wanted to eat them everytime Daddy took out the cooler.  I helped Daddy with the fire by finding lots of good sticks for kindling.  I also found the best marshmallow roasting stick.  The smores were so yummy!  We all slept in the tent together.  Larsen had her own little tent in our tent.  It was so nice to sleep in the tent under the stars.  We heard an owl and lots of other nocturnals.

After all of our sleeping in the great outdoors we were super hungry in the morning.  We had muffins and bananas for breakfast.  Mommy and Daddy also had some tea.

After that Daddy and I went fishing.  We didn't catch any fish, but it was still fun.

Larsen loved drinking out of my water bottle.  I was mad about that since I didn't want her germs!!

They also had a great playground there.  It was made of old tires and I did lots of climbing.  There was also a great big twisty slide at another playground.  It was so high and I went down it so fast.  Larsen and I can't wait to go camping again!

Soccer!!

My career as a soccer mom has officially begun.  Bridger is on a soccer team for 3 year olds.  Two Saturdays ago the season kicked off with a celebration complete with the national anthem and a cheering crowd.  Each player's name was called and as they ran through a row of flags and got a soccer ball.  It was quite a spectacle, but Bridger had fun.

His first official game was last weekend.  For the 3 year olds they don't play much of a game.  The team worked on skills and practiced kicking some goals.  Our lefty loves to shoot on goal and dribble as far as we will let him.  He also loves his cleats, shin guards, and red uniform.  Larsen also loves the cleats.  When Bridger is not looking she makes sure to get her hands (well feet) on them.

The Science of 17 months

I am 17 months old now.  Thursday I celebrated by telling Mommy Wuv U which made her very happy.  Now that I am 17 months old I am copying everything you say and saying all kinds of new words all on my own.  My other new words in the last few days were choo choo and hot dog.  I say lots and lots of things other things too.  Mommy and Daddy can't believe it.  I am also very fast when I am running, and I love kicking the soccer ball.  I am getting better at the stairs.  I won't scoot backwards, but will go down like a big girl if you hold my hand.

One of my favorite things is also the Science Center.  I went there today.  I like it so much that I clapped and shrieked when I saw it. We didn't take any pictures today, but the last few times I went we took pictures.   Bridger loves the Science Center too and I let him be in the pictures on this post because I love him!

Digging for dinosaur bones!

So many fun days in a row!

I hope you are having a great extra day off this weekend.  I have had such a fun time these past few days.  I am so excited to tell you about it.  All of the fun started on Thursday.  I had my first soccer practice in my whole life.  To get to soccer practice we had to take a boat!  My Daddy was in clinic so we didn't have the car but good thing that soccer practice was right near the water taxi stop on the other side of the water and that we live close to a water taxi stop.

On Friday...Race Cars!  I went to race car practice for the Grand Prix with my Daddy.  We didn't take any pictures though.  He likes things to be simple and going to race car practice already wasn't simple, because there were lots of people and we had to bike there because parking costs lots of money and we live close anyway.  The best part was when the race care driver got in his car and started it up. I liked all the flashing lights on the back.  They also had a huge blow up slide at the race track that you had to climb up and slide down.  I did that so many times!

Then on Saturday guess what?... we went biking.  We went with our friends Meg and Nathaniel and Brooke and Ian.  I rode a tow bike behind Mommy and we biked 5 + 5 miles.  10 miles!  I needed a few Starburst but it was so fun and Larsen liked being behind Daddy too.

After biking we ate barbecue at a restaurant called Andy Nelsons.  Then we came home and I fell asleep in the car so I didn't take a nap at home.  Good thing though because we had to decorate Mommy's ice cream cake then sing her Happy Birthday and eat her ice cream cake.   It was so yummy!  Daddy is the best cook in the whole world!

Don't think the fun stops there.  Today it was rainy in the morning so we went to the aquarium.  Today was the last day for the exhibit "Wings on Water."  They have Calypso the sea turtle with three fins (my favorite!!) and the zebra sharks in that exhibit.  They are closing it down today to build a new spot for black tip reef sharks.  Calypso and the zebra sharks will stay in a special spot in the aquarium where we can't see  them and then they will go back in the new exhibit.  That won't be done until I am almost five.  I am a little sad I won't get to see the sea turtle anymore, but I think I will like the new sharks.

Finally, it got sunny after nap so we decided to go to the Patterson Park Pool for the last day it was open.  When we got there it started to rain so we didn't get to go swimming.  That wasn't so fun, but I have had so much fun in the past few days that it was ok.

P.S.  This is Larsen and I on the carousel at the zoo when Grandma and Grandpa were here.  I didn't have a chance to show you these pictures.  I loved riding on the bald eagle.  Come to think of it I haven't just had a lot of fun the past few days, I get to have a lot of fun all the time!!
